Speech pathologists are not utilizing standardized practices in the execution of MBS studies across the country. Ensuring best practices for our patients maximizes patient safety and minimizes harm; standardization is necessary.
2. CMS Guidelines: Why Do We Need to Follow These?
This chapter will discuss why Medicare standards exist and what is needed to comply with the new regulations.
3. Standardization Initiative: How and Where to Start
This chapter will identify key areas in which a healthcare system can determine regularity and variability. The key to streamlining procedures is ensuring everyone is on the same page and support is provided to achieve improvement.
4. Elements of Standard Protocol, and Implementation of Competencies and Mentorship
