Pediatric Gait Analysis
Walking is one of the primary components of human motor function, as such, interventions aimed at improving walking ability are common in physical therapy, particularly in children. To determine the most appropriate interventions as well as to monitor a child's progress, accurate, comprehensive assessment of gait is critical. This course will review principles of and strategies for observational gait analysis and review standardized gait assessment tools used in the pediatric population.

Orthopedic Management of the Ambulatory Child with Cerebral Palsy

This course will discuss current trends in the orthopedic management of ambulatory children with cerebral palsy including single-event multilevel surgery and post-intervention outcomes. The course will also provide a framework for the gait assessment and clinical assessments that are critical for the pre-surgical decision making process.
