How to Effectively Manage Burnout, Work Stress, and Compassion Fatigue

Description

Chronic work stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout have swept the healthcare world by storm. Healthcare professionals coming from different disciplines, settings, and level of experience are impacted by burnout. If these conditions go unresolved, they pose a threat to individuals’ physical and mental
health, disrupt work teams and organizations, and yield consequences that negatively impact patient safety and satisfaction. This introductory course provides healthcare workers across settings with evidence-based research and approaches to create and/or modify new workplace wellness strategies. Participants will learn to implement preventative strategies to reduce negative outcomes and promote optimal work well-being and work-life integration. This course provides participants with basic information, awareness, and an introduction to multi-level solutions to address chronic work stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout.
