This course will provide clinicians with an overview of important and unique differences that must be taken into account when rehabilitating the pediatric athlete/patient. This course will introduce a rehabilitation framework, review common pediatric specific musculoskeletal pathologies, discuss the impact of growth and development on the rehabilitation process, and provide unique strategies for the correction of movement pattern dysfunction. This is an intermediate-level course for physical therapists and athletic trainers working in the outpatient or sports facility setting.
Advanced Rehab Concepts for Pediatric and Adolescent ACL Injuries
Presented by Lauren Butler, PT, DPT, SCS
Advanced Rehab Concepts for Pediatric and Adolescent ACL Injuries
Evidence-based pediatric ACL rehabilitation guidelines are limited, thus adult rehabilitation guidelines are often followed for pediatric patients despite significant differences between these populations. This course will provide clinicians with a framework for the rehabilitation of the pediatric and adolescent athlete after ACL reconstruction, including benchmark testing for progression. This course will also provide guidelines for return-to-sport decision-making and secondary injury prevention. This is an advanced course for physical therapists and athletic trainers working in the outpatient or sports facility setting.
Assessing Pediatric and Adolescent Patients
Presented by Lauren Butler, PT, DPT, SCS and Jeffrey Fernandez, PT, DPT, OCS

It will also cover assessments of motor skill competency, strength, fitness, and resistance training readiness. This is an advanced course for physical therapists and athletic trainers working in outpatient centers or sports facilities.
