On April 30th, 2020, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) temporarily added physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists as providers of telehealth for outpatient therapy services, with a retroactive effective date of March 1st, 2020.
During this webinar, participants learn which settings can provide outpatient physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy services via telehealth to their Medicare beneficiaries and have those services paid by the Medicare program. The webinar also teaches participants which CPT codes can be reimbursed via telehealth for each discipline, which modifiers must be appended to the CPT codes on the claim form, and which Medicare Part B rules and regulations apply to outpatient therapy services delivered via telehealth. Finally, the webinar discusses hospital outpatient therapy departments and how they can provide therapy to their registered outpatients at home through the use of telecommunication technology.
This webinar is a part of the MedBridge enterprise solution. Our complete solution of professional development and patient engagement tools helps organizations attract and retain staff, elevate quality of care, and improve outcomes.
