In early 2021, CMS announced its expansion of the Home Health Value-Based Purchasing model (HHVBP) beginning in 2022, while also increasing the maximum positive and negative payment adjustment to eight percent. To succeed under the HHVBP model, agencies will need to ensure that they have a strong foundation to assess quality of service and outcomes efficiently and accurately. To do so, they will need to effectively deliver comprehensive documentation education to their staff, ranging from OASIS assessment education to onboarding training and targeted remediation.

During the second of our three-part recorded webinar series presented in partnership with Simitree Healthcare Consulting, Charles M. Breznicky Jr., RN, MSN, MBA, HCS-D, Director at SimiTree Healthcare Consulting, explores the key OASIS items involved in the HHVBP model, general rules and tips for accurate OASIS assessment, and strategies and tools to help prepare your staff, including ongoing and peer-to-peer education.
