This course is part of a series on the Graston Technique®. In the course Mike Ploski analyzes the current evidence related to the evaluation and treatment of elbow tendonalgia. In addition, this course will review the principles of Graston Technique® and offer a rationale for its use in accordance with the current literature and histopathological implications. The participant will be introduced to the protocol, goals of treatment, how to evaluate and treat elbow tendonalgia and the rationale for the GT progression during the different phases of recovery. Mike Ploski is the director of Strategic Planning - PT for Graston Technique, LLC and a Senior Member of Graston Technique Instructional Team. Mike was trained by David Graston in 1996, one of the original providers of GT. He is the former Clinic Director of GrasTech, the original GT clinic and former traveling clinician for PGA Tour and CART auto racing league, as well as the former Clinic Director and Group Director for a large national PT corporation. The first chapter of this course introduces the participant to the current evidence related to the histology of elbow tendonalgia, as well as the patholpysiology and stages of tendinopathy.
The second chapter of this course takes a closer look at the anatomy of the elbow, and introduces differential diagnosis and provocative testing of elbow tendonalgia.
This chapter reviews the evidence for the treatment of elbow tendonalgia including evidence related to the effects of Graston Technique® in relation to the histopathology pf tendonagia.
The final chapter of this course applies concepts from the course to a case example, illustrating the implementation of Graston Technique® to elbow tendonalgia.
