1. Definitions of Cultural Knowledge Terminology
This chapter will define cultural knowledge terminology. This will assist clinical educators in training and educating students and paraprofessionals.
2. Barriers to Supervision
This chapter will identify the barriers that may arise during culturally responsive supervision. The ways in which power, inadequate training, and ineffective communication can affect supervision will be highlighted.
3. Characteristics of a Culturally Responsive Supervisor
This chapter will discuss the characteristics of a culturally responsive supervisor and methods to incorporate these characteristics into clinical practice. Methods for improving communication skills will be provided.
