In this chapter, we’ll discuss the most common causes of death in the US and the cost of generating health in the US. We'll also look into predictors of adherence to physical therapy and interventions to improve it.
2. The Relationship Between Knowledge and Behavior
This chapter will show clinical examples from research for how knowledge dissemination made little impact on change in behavior.
3. Models to Help Frame Your Perspective and Approach
This chapter will discuss the theories behind the three most common models of behavior change, provide a description of each of the five stages of TTM (most popular model), and explain why change is rarely linear.
4. Summarizing the Dos and Don’ts of Successful Behavior Change Drivers
In this chapter, we’ll deconstruct a list of strategies that don't help you change patient behaviors and why. A complete a list of strategies that do help change patient behaviors and why will be discussed.
5. Planning for Effective Behavior Change Drivers in Your Clinic
This chapter will go over the exercises for implementing behavior change drivers into your patient interactions, preparation for your upcoming patient interactions, and creating opportunities in your clinic that promote behavior change.
