This course will address patient care needs throughout the patient care environment and across the life span. In addition, the common comorbidities of pain will be described. This course will go beyond the basics of pain management and promote the interdisciplinary team approach principles that are more effective in pain management. This course will focus on an interdisciplinary approach that emphasizes the unique skill sets of the different clinician types on the care team to maximize pain management for most patient populations. This course is most applicable to nurses, occupational therapists, and physical therapists in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, long-term care, and home health settings.
