Telehealth is not a new concept, but for better or for worse, it has become a part of our healthcare system and is now widely accepted as a part of standard care. This course will examine how to best utilize telehealth within clinical care for pelvic floor populations, identifying specifically how to break down the evaluation process. We will also identify key objective data points and demonstrate how to assess and then create a plan of care that can be continued via the virtual format for your clients.

1. Overview of Telehealth

In this chapter, we will identify the benefits of telehealth, especially regarding access to care. Participants will also be able to identify appropriate practice guidelines for telehealth.

2. Identifying the Ideal Pelvic Health Candidate

This chapter will teach you how to triage patients appropriately to determine who may not be a good fit for a telehealth session. You will also learn the best referral resources based on any yellow or red flags that may be present.

3. The Evaluation

This chapter examines the importance of a thorough subjective evaluation and how to determine which objective measures would be necessary for the patient being evaluated. Additionally, you will be introduced to a few case studies to identify what is relevant and nonrelevant information as you proceed through this evaluative process.

4. Completion of the Evaluation and Interventions

This chapter details the assessment portion and identifies the next best step for the patient, including an introduction to program design.
