1. Core and Hip Stability to Improve Function
This chapter will highlight the evidence supporting the integration of core and hip strengthening exercises into any rehab setting to enhance outcomes. Challenging the aging population for the goal of superior outcomes is a priority and requires a comprehensive approach to movement.
2. Prioritizing the Why of Functional Decline
There are a wide range of patient diagnoses, such as scoliosis, arthritis, and total joint replacement, that result in functional decline and balance limitations. This chapter will discuss a variety of patient presentations and the most common evidence-based priority for each.
3. Observational Analysis and Intervention Choices
This chapter will utilize case-based video analysis to practice observation and identify key priorities. Intervention demonstrations will be performed, including a step-by-step demonstration of how to repeat the interventions in the clinic.
4. Taking Your Care to the Next Level (Q&A Session)
This chapter will focus on answering participants’ questions. Two speakers will problem-solve through those questions to support participants in incorporating the ideas from the lecture into their specific practices and patient populations.
