This course covers telehealth assessment and intervention in pediatric disorders within the infant population. This course on telehealth in pediatric physical therapy will improve the clinician's confidence in approaching infant assessment and treatment in telehealth. The course will provide examples of modifications for infant assessment and treatment to help the therapist easily transition to telehealth. The target audience includes occupational therapy, physical therapy, hospital outpatient settings, private practice outpatient settings, and school and early intervention settings. This course is part of the telehealth series.

1. Introduction

In this chapter, you will identify the best practices for delivering optimal pediatric care in the telehealth environment.

2. Subjective Exam

In this chapter, you will apply strategies for effective subjective examination for infants in a telehealth setting, discuss key questions for screening in telehealth, and view a demonstration with a patient in a telehealth setting.

3. Objective Exam

In this chapter, you will administer a pediatric screening examination specific to infants via telehealth, discuss developmental milestones, demonstrate infant screening/assessment, and view a demonstration with a patient.

4. Intervention

In this chapter, you will apply interventions for infants in telehealth given information obtained via subjective and objective exams, discuss use of telehealth with developmental focus given age, and view a demonstration with a patient and parent.

5. Clinical Pearls

This chapter includes a summary for applying strategies for effective subjective examination for infants in a telehealth setting, administering an infant screening examination, and applying interventions for infants in the telehealth therapy environment. A roundtable discussion with Jared and Rubi precedes the summary.
