Building on the previous courses in this series, we will examine how different types of pain require and respond to different categories of pain medication and how adjuvant medications and nonpharmacologic interventions can assist with effective pain management.

This course empowers clinicians to use a full arsenal of pain treatments to effectively treat and manage pain. By understanding which medication category best treats each pain type and by knowing how adjuvant and nonpharmacologic therapies assist with pain management, clinicians can help patients achieve a higher level of pain relief and greater satisfaction with care.

This course is appropriate for any healthcare provider or interdisciplinary team member dealing with patients in pain.
