Certification and recertification criteria continue to change. Agencies need a one-stop resource to check all the boxes. This course targets that need. Clinicians will learn requirements for hospice certification and recertification as implemented Oct. 1, 2020, including the detailed content of the updated election statement and its addendum, titled Patient Notification of Hospice Non-Covered Items, Services, and Drugs. The addendum is a condition of payment, making its consistently accurate completion necessary to avoid claims denials. Those who would benefit from taking this course include admitting registered nurses, quality assurance staff, clinical managers, hospice physicians, hospice financial decision-makers, and hospice administrators. No prerequisites are required.
