Rehabilitation specialists are serving an increasingly larger role as primary care providers in health care. With the number of adults over the age of 65 projected to increase significantly in the next few decades, providers will be evaluating and treating older adults with complex medical problems. This course will cover considerations for evaluating and screening older adults for urogenital, endocrine, metabolic, and immunological conditions and associated pharmacological adverse effects. Recognition of risk factors and identification of red flags for underlying medical conditions that require referral will be addressed.
