In this course by Dr. Eric Hegedus, users will gain an understanding of an upper quarter screening examination. Both sensitive and specific diagnostic tests will be reviewed and discussed to assist with differential diagnosis. An upper quarter specific examination will be covered including active and passive physiological movements, and pain provocation tests. The learner will be introduced to evidence based information regarding the utility of a palpatory motion tests. Concepts are demonstrated through a real patient case study at the conclusion of the course. This course is part of a 19 course comprehensive clinical series covering examination and intervention for the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, as well as the upper (shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand) and lower (hip, pelvis, knee, foot, and ankle) quarters.
