MedBridge Launches New Functionality for Remote Therapeutic Monitoring

Seattle-based healthcare technology company enhances the functionality of its Digital Patient Engagement Solution to enable customers to enroll patients in RTM.

Seattle, WA – MedBridge, the industry-leading online education and patient engagement solution that enables healthcare organizations to improve outcomes and optimize care delivery, announced today that it has released new functionality to help providers track and monitor patients for remote therapeutic monitoring (RTM).

Many healthcare organizations face tight operating margins due to a variety of reasons including high overhead costs, industry regulations, and third-party payer requirements. RTM allows organizations to access new revenue streams by billing for the remote management of their patients with musculoskeletal and respiratory conditions using medical devices (including certain software) that collect non-physiological data.

The MedBridge Patient Engagement Solution for RTM allows physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists to easily enroll patients in RTM, create engaging care programs using an extensive library of condition-specific patient education and exercise templates, remotely track and monitor patient progress, communicate directly with patients between appointments with telehealth and in-app messaging, and track and report with an intuitive RTM reporting dashboard.

The MedBridge solution is unique in the market because it does not disrupt clinician workflows and can be turned on and implemented quickly. It allows clinicians to improve documentation and tracking efficiency with RTM patient enrollment, activity logging, and reporting; and to begin billing for RTM today with everything they need in a single location. It is designed to help activate and engage patients, improve patient satisfaction and experience, and drive retention and better patient outcomes.

MedBridge is currently partnering with organizations such as CORA Physical Therapy and PRN Physical Therapy to help teams across their networks adopt RTM by leveraging the MedBridge solution.

“MedBridge is here to help our customers adapt and thrive as the healthcare industry continues to change and evolve. Remote therapeutic monitoring is an important and exciting opportunity that can help organizations improve patient engagement and retention while also boosting revenue. We’re pleased to be able to offer a high-quality solution that allows our customers to move forward quickly and successfully with RTM,” said Joseph Brence, PT, DPT, MBA, FAAOMPT, Head of Clinical Strategy at MedBridge.

In the coming year, MedBridge plans to expand on its current RTM offering by launching additional capabilities to enhance patient engagement, retention, and clinician workflows.
