MedBridge Recognized for Industry-Leading Innovations in Digital Health with 2021 MedTech Breakthrough Award

For the second year in a row, MedBridge is recognized for its outstanding innovation in the health and medical technology space.

MedBridge, the industry-leading professional development and patient engagement solution for healthcare professionals, has been selected as the winner of the Digital Health Innovation Award in the fifth annual MedTech Breakthrough Awards program conducted by MedTech Breakthrough, an independent market intelligence organization that recognizes the top companies, technologies, and products in the global health and medical technology market. This award comes on the heels of MedBridge’s 2020 win of the MedTech Breakthrough Best Patient Portal Award.

MedBridge’s innovative holistic approach improves patient care and outcomes with powerful solutions, integrating targeted provider education with effective patient engagement and education tools. MedBridge clients are able to improve access to quality care, reduce costs, and significantly improve patient and clinical outcomes by equipping their staff with needed education, from clinical to soft skills building, programs to keep patients informed and motivated, and virtual care tools and analytics to drive adherence and engagement.

MedBridge reduced the cost per episode of care for one organization over the course of the past year by 47 percent for patients using a combination of telehealth and in-person visits, with 93 percent of patients reporting a decrease in pain, 98 percent of patients reporting functional progress toward their goals, and 60 percent shorter wait times. Other organizations have experienced an improvement in NPS® scores and increased patient volume due to better patient engagement and retention.

“When many healthcare providers needed to quickly transition to offer virtual care solutions over the past year, we helped providers leverage our integrated virtual patient engagement tools to improve access to care and better connect with and manage their patients,” said Justin Kowalchuk, Founder and CEO of MedBridge. “We’re humbled to receive this recognition from MedTech and to be able to partner with amazing and innovative healthcare providers to meet the needs of patients during rapidly changing times without compromising quality of care.”

The mission of the MedTech Breakthrough Awards is to honor excellence and recognize innovation, hard work, and success in a range of health and medical technology categories, including Robotics, Clinical Administration, Telehealth, Patient Engagement, Electronic Health Records (EHR), mHealth, Medical Devices, Medical Data, and many more. This year’s program attracted more than 3,850 nominations from over 17 different countries throughout the world.

“Ensuring uninterrupted care while maintaining patient engagement during the COVID-19 pandemic was difficult for many organizations. Throughout the industry’s many changes, MedBridge has focused on helping healthcare organizations overcome their most pressing clinical and financial challenges,” said James Johnson, managing director, MedTech Breakthrough. “We are extremely pleased to present the Company with the ‘Digital Health Innovation Award’ for our 2021 MedTech Breakthrough Awards program.”
