Mark Blankespoor, DPT, has spent the last 20 years of his life dedicated to assisting individuals to improve their health, function and quality of life. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Dordt College in 1992, a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Des Moines University in 1994, and a Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from Des Moines University in 2009. He has served in a number of roles with the Iowa Physical Therapy Association (Legislative Chair, Treasurer, Vice President, President) and the American Physical Therapy Association (Board of Delegates Representative, Board Member with Occupational Health Special Interest Group).
Mark has been a Faculty Member with WorkWell Prevention & Care since 1998. He has performed regular provider training with all of the WorkWell programs and has been a consultant on multiple projects with WorkWell. He has been a Health Coach with OPTAVIA since 2009. He currently works on a regular basis with over 100 health professionals with Health Coach programming.
Mark was the founder of Work Systems Rehab & Fitness in 1998, which has 5 clinic locations in Iowa (Des Moines, Ames, Pella, Newton and Oskaloosa) and multiple employer contracts throughout the state of Iowa. He has extensive experience in Work Injury Prevention and Management as well as Wellness and Fitness. He owned a 2,000-member fitness business in central Iowa that integrated corporate health and lifestyle health programming within the region.
