Instructor Bio:
Louie Puentedura obtained his entry-level Physiotherapy degree in Melbourne, Australia, and subsequently earned a Graduate Diploma in Manipulative Therapy in 1983. In 1985 his presentation at the Australian Manipulative Therapists Association Conference in Brisbane entitled 'The Straight Leg Raise Test and Spinal Posture' helped to sparked an interest in mobilization of the nervous system.

Louie relocated to the USA with his family in 1995, where he received his OCS (Orthopedic Certified Specialist) in 1996 and recertified in 2006. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Therapists (FAAOMPT). In 2005, he completed a Post-Professional Doctorate in Physical Therapy with a focus on musculoskeletal conditions through Northern Arizona University (NAU) in Flagstaff, Arizona. He also completed his PhD in Physical Therapy through Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2011.

Louie is currently an assistant professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Throughout his 32+ years as a physical therapist, Louie has presented at many National Conferences, initially in Australia and New Zealand, and more recently in the USA and Spain. His presentations focus on manual therapy theory and practice, neurodynamics, and more recently, on the motor control issues surrounding pain sciences and pain science education.
