This is part of a series on the Graston Technique(R) (GT). This course will focus on the use of the GT on Patellar Tendinosis. This course is designed to discuss the current evidence related to the histology of tendinosis, the theoretical research related to the tenocyte progenitor cell, the principles related to dynaments and the importance of a global assessment. The participant will be introduced to the protocol, goals of treatment, how to treat Patellar Tendinosis and the rationale for the GT progression during the different phases of recovery. Mike Ploski has been a certified athletic trainer since 1986 and a physical therapist since 1988. He has been board certified in orthopedics since 1998. 1. Current Concepts and Evidenced Based Treatment

This first chapters teaches participants the current evidence and research to discuss tendinosis and Graston Technique®, while being able to identify the principles related to dynaments and the importance of a global assessment.

2. Current Treatment Concepts: Patellar Tendinosis

In this chapter, the participant will be able to identify current trends and evidence for the treatment of Patellar Tendinosis and how to justify the use of Graston Technique® for the treatment of Patellar Tendinosis with current research. Lastly, they will also be able to define the goals for treatment of the Patellar Tendinosis with Graston Technique®.

3. Demonstration of Graston Technique for the Treatment of Patellar Tendinosis

The final chapter uses patient case studies to describe the Graston Technique® protocol for the treatment of Patellar Tendinosis and the treatment progression employed to treat Patellar Tendinosis. They will also understand the rationale for the Graston Technique progression during different phases of recovery.
